Carlton Kinsale Hotel & C Spa - Customer Reviews

We attended a wedding reception at Carlton Kinsale recently and then stayed the night in a garden suite. The suite was very comfy and suited us and our children perfectly. We really enjoyed our stay, the food was delicious, and the pool facilities were great for relaxing.

We got married here in June 2010 and I have to say that the entire weekend was better than we could have imagined. The hotel staff were fantastic, courteous, accommodating and no request was too much - from reception to spa, to the waiting staff and hotel management. On behalf of myself and my beautiful wife, I just want to say thank you very much! We will be back soon!!

First impressions were very good. Went for a long June bank holiday weekend with a group. There was a wedding on at the time of arrival but a member of staff was out waiting to look after us when we ... arrived.The hotel is lovely and restaurant very bright and cheerful even though we did not have a great selection on the evening meals as it was set for the group but otherwise it was fine and it might be a good idea to have some good music in the bar at night. The bus into Kinsale was great and the staff member who drove it was very friendly. Staff very friendly and helpful. ---

Stayed in June 2010 with wife and new baby. Got a complimentary upgrade to a family suite which was very welcome. The rooms were great, staff excellent and the pool and gym first class. many good points, ... but if I had to pick a bad point it would be that the exterior of the suites was a little tatty, the perspex roof was green with moss. But all in all I would go back in a heartbeat, and Kinsale was as ever great. ---

Stayed recently for one night. Used the courtesy bus to and from Kinsale which was very reliable and driven by a charming and helpful young man who made a special effort to ensure that all his passengers ... were transported safely back to the hotel later that night. The room was totally adequate for our needs with all the usual facilities, and we thought the room rate was exceptionally good value considering the high cost of living at present in Ireland. Would definitely return. ---

This is a fabulous hotel with spectacular views. The rooms were very comfortable. The food was very tasty and the service very good. Was especially impresses with the shuttle bus service in the evening to and from town. Great place for all to stay and recommend the spa to!

My wife and I had a very enjoyable 3 days in the Kinsale Carlton. Staff were friendly and welcomed us warmly. The room was superb - sea view as requested. Restaurant food was lovely, particularly the ... breakfast - massive choice and excellent service. The only disappointment was the confusion concerning the dinner that was included in the package - we were not warned that it was a very restricted cut-down version of the main menu, with very attractive options on the main menu being excluded. The bus service in the evening into Kinsale was a great idea as car parking in Kinsale is a bit of a nightmare. We would definitely return to this hotel but the issues with the dinner menu would need to be resolved. ---

We stayed in Carlton Kinsale back in June, everything about the place was fabulous and the weather was even good too! We never stopped eating from the moment we got there, and the Chef was on top of his game. We ate there for all our meals and I couldn't recommend his food more. The whole experience was just brilliant. The food and the views made it!

We really enjoyed our 5 days at your Kinsale Hotel. The room was lovely, the food excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. The view of Oysterhaven Bay and surrounding hills a pleasure to observe. We would suggest the hotel's courtesy bus service be extended to additional trips to Kinsale during the mornings and afternoons.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Carlton Kinsale and we found it most relaxing and enjoyable. The staff were very pleasant and could not do enough for us on our stay. the location and over atmosphere was excellent.
